Yet another mid-range Samsung smartphone is announced
We knew it was coming based on previous leaks, but we were expecting Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Grand Neo at Mobile World Congress next month. But they must have bigger plans for the event because they've already gone ahead and unveiled their latest mid-range creation.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo is a pretty unspectacular device - as its muted launch suggest - but it does pack in a solid specification and should cost around £200 when it lands in the UK.
For your hard-earned cash you'll get a 5-inch touch-screen display (800*480 pixels), a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board memory. You'll be able to snap away with the 5 mega-pixel (with LED flash) and make video calls with the front-facing VGA camera.
When it comes to connectivity it supports Bluetooth 4.0, microSD cards, WiFi and 3G - but sadly no 4G. The unknowns right now are which version of Android it comes with, when it'll be available to buy and how much it'll cost in the UK (in Europe it'll be priced at 260 Euros).
Do you think Samsung's Galaxy range is becoming bewildering confusing and overcrowded? Or should we be grateful for every new smartphone release? Let us know your thoughts below.
