Sony unveiled the Xperia SP last month and one of our on-line informers has told us that the Android smartphone will go on sale with Three on April 30th. Apparently, the white version will land first with the black model launching shortly after.
Three have already confirmed they'll be stocking the Sony Xperia SP and we contacted Three directly to confirm the rumour. Unfortunately, they couldn't confirm the release date at the current time, but they did state that initially only the White model will be offered.
As soon as we get more news on the launch of the Xperia SP you'll be the first to know !
The Sony Xperia SP sits below the Xperia Z in Sony's range and adopts the same stunning design as Sony's flagship Android smartphone. However, rather than an all-glass design it has an aluminium case.
Sony's Xperia SP has a 4.6 inch Mobile Bravia 2 display running at a resolution of 1280 * 720 pixels. While, it's powered by a dual-core 1.7 GHz processor, has 8GB of on-board memory and a stunning 8 mega-pixel camera.
The Android Jelly Bean powered Xperia SP should be priced significantly lower than the Xperia Z and we think it could offer excellent value. We'll post a full of the Xperia SP as soon as we get our hands on Sony's smartphone.
