The Samsung Galaxy S25 is the base model in Samsung’s flagship 2025 line of phones, and this device has seen some serious upgrades from its predecessor.

Chief among these is its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is vastly more powerful than the chipset used by the Samsung Galaxy S24, delivering 45% better CPU performance, 48% better GPU performance, and a massive 68% faster AI performance. In fact, this will likely be the most powerful chipset available to smartphones for most of 2025.

That upgrade is joined by a RAM boost, bringing it up from the 8GB in the Galaxy S24 to 12GB now. So between a new chipset and 4GB more RAM, the Samsung Galaxy S25 is an extremely capable device, and one that can truly excel at AI tasks.

That’s a good thing too, because Samsung has built a comprehensive suite of AI tools into the Samsung Galaxy S25, helping you edit photos, translate conversations, summarise text, and a whole lot more.

Those are the headline upgrades, but at 162g the Samsung Galaxy S25 is also lighter than the Galaxy S24, and with the promise of seven years of Android updates, this phone will stay current for a long time.

It also has a compact 6.2-inch FHD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple-lens rear camera, loads of storage space, and a durable build, complete with Armour Aluminium 2 to protect it from falls, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Plus, the Samsung Galaxy S25 is Qi2-ready, meaning that with a compatible case it can deliver magnetic wireless charging, much like Apple’s MagSafe system.
