Tesco Mobile has made the iPhone 4 16GB available on a 12 month contract. This is a no nonsense deal. An example is that you can pay £229 up front and then £35 per month for the 12 months.
This is part of an announcement by Tesco Mobile to offer 12 month contracts across the board. Long term contracts which lock you in to a 2 year deal don’t suit that many people. So its refreshing to see that Tesco Mobile have launched 12 month contracts. Tesco Mobile now offers mobile phone contracts over 12, 18 and 2 years. The only people which really benefit from a 24 month contract would be the mobile operator and the opportunity for you to switch to a newer handset are delayed.
The new 12 month contracts have been released by Tesco Mobile to offer greater flexibility to customers.
“18 and 24 month contracts are great for some people, especially when it comes to high spec smart phones, but financial uncertainty and rapidly advancing technology means that there are a lot of people who don't want to be tied to their mobile. Tesco Mobile prides itself on customer service and by responding to consumer needs and we hope this move will shake up the market and give choice back to the consumer by winning back the space for 12 month contracts."
