A leaked document has emerged from Microsoft that suggests Windows Phone 7 will launch in the third quarter of 2010.
Seen as we are already in July you'd have to say that September is the most likely outcome, as we've heard very little about the release as far.
Windows Phone 7 will be a pivotal release for Microsoft because we feel they are losing ground on Android and iPhone software rapidly. However, Microsoft may say that are competing more with RIMs Blackberry OS, but even so surely they want to aim for more than just business users.

Details on phones that will be released on Windows Phone 7 are sparse at the moment, but we did bring you news of the HTC Gold which is rumoured to run Phone 7.
