The latest online rumours claim that Samsung are working on a new 3D smartphone that will rival LG's Optimus 3D and HTC's Evo 3D.
The Samsung Galaxy 3D is expected to be a 3D version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 (pictured above) , with a similar if not improved specification. That means its likely to have a 4.3 inch 3D touch-screen which will feature glasses-free 3D technology.
The Galaxy 3D could well be powered by the same dual-core 1.2 GHz processor that powers the Galaxy S2 and will run on Android 2.3. You'd expect it to feature dual cameras to enable 3D video recording and a HDMI-output to share content with your 3D TV.
The reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy 3D will launch in the last quarter of 2011, so just in time for Christmas.
The story is currently unconfirmed , but with 3D being such a hot topic at the moment we wouldn't be at all surprised to see Samsung launch a 3D smartphone very soon.
Samsung have great expierence with 3D technology through their TV's so we'd expect them to provide excellent 3D technology on mobiles and a 3D version of the Galaxy S2 is a very exciting prospect.
Once we hear more about the Samsung Galaxy 3D here at 3G we'll let you know.
