Plans & Services
Google has bought relative newcomer Pushlife as reported on Pushlife's internet home page. Pushlife was formed in 2008 by Ray Reddy who used to work for Research In Motion.
The main service the company provides is the ability to sync non-Apple devices to iTunes. Based in Canada, Pushlife also provide a service where users can sync their music, with the services offered by music platforms directly from Mobile Operators. This currently includes Virgin Mobile in the UK.
The PushLife mobile application is completely cross-platform and supports Nokia (S40 & S60), LG, Samsung, BlackBerry and Android mobile devices
A user plugs their PushLife-enabled phone into their desktop computer, just like they would an iPodTM. The PushLife desktop plug-in automatically starts and syncs with iTunes and Windows Media Player.
No official details are available with regard to the purchase price of Pushlife who will now join Google's Canadian workforce.
