Yesterday, 3G posted an article called the "Nokia N9 Goes All Swipey" and the reason why we used this title certainly becomes apparent in the video below produced by Nokia Conversations.
This video focuses on the MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan user interface and has a one swipe action across the screen to get you to your home screen at any time and is more than adequately covered in the 4 minute video.
The video is introduced by Jussi Makinen of the Nokia Marketing Dept. and starts by showing you how easy it is to wake the Nokia N9 up simply by tapping the screen. Jussi then shows how the N9's UI offers screens for apps, social networking notifications and lastly the multi-tasking view.
Looking at the specification of the Nokia N9 ( more here) and the video below it seems that Nokia has caught up considerably with Apple's iPhone 4 and the current Android smartphones with their new user interface. This gives us an insight into what Nokia and Microsoft are developing at the moment for the forthcoming Nokia Windows Phone 7 smartphones which they are jointly developing. Of course, we expect much more from the new alliance when the Nokia Window Phone 7 smartphones are released maybe later this year.
The Nokia N9 gets a "thumbs up" from 3G and we will be looking forward to reviewing the N9 soon.
