LG have announced the LG Optimus Q2 which is a new Android smartphone that will be launching in Korea. The smartphone is the successor to the LU2300 smartphone that launched last year.
The LG Optimus Q2 will have a huge 4 inch LCD touch-screen and is powered by a dual-core 1.2 Ghz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. Other features include a full QWERTY keyboard, 5 mega-pixel camera and front-facing VGA camera.
Compared to the LU2300 it is both thinner , lighter and comes with a wider QWERTY keyboard which looks to have well-spaced keys. The Optimus Q2 will ship with Android 2.3, so it'll support all the latest applications and potentially NFC.
We don't know whether the LG Optimus Q2 will launch outside Korea, but we like the look of the device with the QWERTY keyboard looking especially good. It's expected to launch in Korea in the next week and once we hear anymore about a UK launch we'll let you know.
