UK : BT Business announced the introduction of the Samsung C6625 handset powered by Windows Mobile to its business mobile offering BT Talk Time, to help companies join the rising trend in companies now working on the move to improve employee productivity.1

As a result of a strategic partnership between BT, Samsung and Microsoft, small businesses can now communicate more cost effectively out of the office. The BT Talk Time package now includes the choice of a free Samsung C6625 with each connection; and free unlimited mobile email and internet access.2 Built on Windows Mobile 6.1, the Samsung C6625 gives users access to familiar features on their PC, on their phone with real-time synchronisation of email, access to Microsoft Office® and a range of mobile applications.

“Mobile working is gathering pace and for many businesses is helping to define how effectively they compete,” said Bill Murphy, managing director, BT Business. “BT’s partnership with Samsung and Microsoft is an important step in helping us mobilise small businesses.

Better customer service, employee productivity and happier staff are just a few of the benefits that businesses are already cashing in on. BT wants to make mobile working an option for all businesses.” Companies are finding working on the move an effective way to win customers in the recession, according to new independent research also released by BT Business today.

More than one in five workers (21 per cent) interviewed for the ‘New Workplace’ study3 said they now choose where they work from, without limits, with more than one in ten saying that phones that support mobile email have helped them to win new business. Mark Mitchinson, Vice-President Samsung Mobile UK and Ireland, said: “BT’s relationship with more the one million businesses in the UK puts it at the heart of the small business community in the UK.

We are delighted to launch the new Samsung C6625 in partnership with BT. The launch of this handset highlights our focus on the business market.” James McCarthy, mobile working expert at Microsoft, said: “This new offering is a great step in BT providing complete business solutions in partnership with Microsoft. The combination of Windows Mobile powered Samsung devices and BT’s Microsoft hosted business email, delivers a great value solution for customers looking to be extra competitive in the current climate.”

The slim, light weight and stylish new Samsung C6625 handset offers a wide range of features to help improve the mobile productivity of businesses offering super-fast data transfer speeds across 3G mobile networks (HDSPA 3.6 Mbps), a Windows Media Player v10 enabling users to synchronise high quality music, video and photos with their PCs and talk time of up to seven hours.
