The W910 is a 3G HSDPA Walkman phone that is designed for entertainment; whether music, 3D games, video, or high-speed Web access. It’s also geared to let you choose your music, your way. Select Shake control and just flick the phone to control games or skip and shuffle between tracks. Or opt for SensMe™ and discover music to match your mood and tempo.

The features of the Sony Ericsson W910i are as follows :

Walkman player 3.0

Located in Media, the Walkman player converts the phone into a portable music player that supports AAC, AAC+, Enhanced ACC+, MP3, MP4, M4A, 3GP, AMR NB, AMR WB, WAV, S-MIDI, G-MIDI, RealAudio 8, WMA and Mobile XMF 1.0 audio formats. Access audio books and podcasts you have transferred from your computer. Smart lists, such as most played tracks and recently played tracks, are created automatically based on previous selections. Use SensMe to discover music by mood. The phone knows the mood of each song without having to enter information such as slow, fast, major, minor, acoustic, electric etc. Mark a song and a circle appears around this and encircles several other songs in the same mood creating a selection. No need to choose artist or album, just mood.

Music recognition - TrackID

Obtain title, artist and album information about songs you hear and like. Recording music from an external source, using the microphone. Or enter text to search for artist, track, album, lyrics and more.

PlayNow 4.0

A unique and easy-to-use direct link for the downloading of content in the form of music files, games and images. You have access to a catalogue of more than 100,000 tracks from SonyBMG and other labels.

For example, select PlayNow 4.0 and go straight to a live list of top music hits, available for full music track download. All formats that are supported by the phone will be supported. Music and images may be previewed before purchase.

Bluetooth audio streaming

Listen to audio in compatible devices. By connecting a Bluetooth A2DP compatible accessory, such as a stereo Bluetooth headset or a Bluetooth music receiver, you can enjoy high quality stereo audio streaming wirelessly from the phone. Many A2DP accessories also support the Bluetooth Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) allowing you to control the Walkman® player in the phone using the accessory interinterface.

Stereo widening

3D Gaming

Gaming is a very popular feature in mobile phones. Several premium quality 3D games are included in the phone at purchase. Shake the phone to control gaming functions. Tilt the phone forwards, backwards, left or right to accelerate, decelerate, turn left or turn right. Two action keys have been added to intensify the experience. 2 Megapixel camera

The main camera is 2 megapixel and includes 2.5x digital zoom with fixed focus, auto rotate and Photo fix to take quality pictures with ease. The horizontal user interface allows for easier camera handling. The main camera captures video clips with 4x digital zoom, and stores them in the phone or on a memory card. A picture or video clip can be shared as a picture message or email message with friends or family, or using any available transfer method, such as Bluetooth. The phone supports QCIF size video recording.

Video call camera

There is also a QCIF video call camera. Accessing video call mode via the main menu activates the QCIF video call camera.

Auto rotate

Capturing a portrait photo with a horizontal camera, usually results in a picture which must be rotated manually when viewed later, in the phone. Auto rotate is a new feature, which enables W910i to register how the phone is oriented when the picture is taken, whether it is held in portrait or landscape mode. This information is saved with the picture. When viewed, the picture is automatically rotated and presented with the same orientation as it was originally taken.

Sony Ericsson Media Manager

Music, photo and video clip management software is available on the CD which is included in the kit. Transfer music, videos and photos to and from your phone. Prepare files for transfer even when your phone is not connected to your computer. Search for and select music on your computer or audio CDs and convert your existing audio tracks to formats that are suitable for mobile use before transferring them to your phone. You can also subscribe to feeds such as video and music podcasts.

RDS FM Radio

The FM radio with RDS (Radio Data System) offers instant and easy access to FM radio channels. The RDS function brings information directly to the screen, which is sent out by the currently tuned in radio station. Just plug in the handsfree that works as an antenna and start listening to desired music. The radio can also be used as an alarm signal.

Memory card reader

The extra memory slot supports memory cards up to 4 GB. Different kinds of content (pictures, audio, video clips, etc.) can be stored on memory cards, and transferred to other memory cards compatible consumer products, for example Sony digital cameras, camcorders, portable music players, TVs, photo printers and computers.

Media Transfer Protocol (MTP)

With Media Transfer Protocol you can transfer media files and synchronize playlists when the phone is connected to the computer via the USB cable. It is possible to use MTP in Media transfer mode or Phone mode. MTP is supported by Windows Media Player 10 and 11 in Windows XP and in Windows Vista it is also supported.

Common Internet File System (CIFS)
The Common Internet File System enables file transfer to and from your phone. The phone acts as a file server which allows you to copy and move files between your PC andthe server. You can use this feature when connected via the USB cable or the Bluetooth connection.
