O2 UK Hits 150 Megabytes 3G Trial Speeds

Europe : O2 UK has undertaken a 3G LTE ( Long Term Evolution ) live trial. This is the first live 3G LTE trial to be undertaken by any UK mobile network operator.
The trial was undertaken in the Slough area and a peak network speed of 150 Megabytes per second was achieved. O2 UK also recently demoed video conferncing, mobile gaming and HD video over 3G LTE.

The speed of O2 UK’s 3G wireless network which is 3G HSDPA is 1 Megabyte. The 150 Megabytes was achieved over a short network in ideal conditions but we at 3G.co.uk could see O2 UK’s 3G LTE download speeds hitting 30 Megabytes in years to come.
