Nokia Confirms The "Rugged" 3720 Classic

10th July , 2009

Europe : Nokia announced the introduction of the Nokia 3720 classic, which is IP-54 certified phone. The IP-54 certification ensures the phone is waterproof, dust and shock resistant.

The mobile has a “rugged” case which protects the inner circuitry of the device, which will come in a variety of colours. The battery cover, which also protects the inner electronics of the device, is held shut with a screw enabling the device to be dust, water and mud resistant.

The battery life of the 3720 classic is superb and the device also features an LED flashlight. Nokia Maps is pre-loaded on the 1 GB microSD card and the device has a bright 2.2” display.

"Whether using it at the beach or in a dusty construction site, the Nokia 3720 classic has been specifically engineered to withstand the splashes, bumps and drops that come with the terrain," said Markku Suomi, vice president, Connect devices. "While the Nokia 3720 classic is tough on the outside, it is equally functional on the inside - a perfect choice for people who want a long-lasting and reliable mobile phone for any environment."
