CSG Systems , a global provider of customer care and billing solutions, today announced that Telemobil, the first 3G mobile operator in Romania, has successfully implemented the CSG Kenan(R) 3G mobile solution as its sole billing platform for next generation mobile voice and data services.

Telemobil recently selected and implemented the CSG Kenan(R)/BP billing product (formerly known as Arbor(R)/BP), CSG Kenan(R)/OM order manager (formerly Arbor(R)/OM) and CSG Data Mediation (formerly BILLDATS(R)) for network data mediation as well as CONNECTVU-Wireless provisioning software.

Telemobil launched services under the brand name Zapp Mobile in Dec. 2001. Zapp Mobile(R) is based on CDMA 2000 (Code Division Multiple Access) technology, which allows a large number of users to use the same limited range of radio channels. Operating at 450 MHz, Zapp Mobile(R) will bring high speed packet data and high quality voice services, along with "always-on" mobile Internet access, to 95% of the Romanian population by early 2003.

With Telemobil's requirement to launch new mobile voice and data services, the company needed a scalable and proven billing system, allowing the flexibility and capability to provision, rate and invoice new customers quickly. The CSG Kenan(R) 3G Mobile solution, which includes 3G billing, activation and mediation capabilities, enables Telemobil to provision a variety of mobile services and accurately invoice for those services in order to maintain customer satisfaction and maximize revenues.
