The CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org) today
announced that the association will begin accepting
nominations for its annual 3G CDMA Industry Achievement
Awards during the week of April 1, 2002. The awards
honor the dedication and achievements of leading
companies and individuals in the 3G CDMA industry. The
nomination process is open to the public. Final
selection of the winners will be made by CDG executive
officers, Leadership Council members and the media.
This year's award recipients will be announced at the
3G World Congress, the 7th CDMA Mobile Business Event,
being held June 10-14, 2002 at the Hong Kong
Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong. Awards
will be given in the categories of Industry Leadership,
International Leadership, Service Innovation, Subscriber
Technology Innovation, Infrastructure Technology
Innovation, and Innovative Solutions. There will also
be a write-in category where members of the wireless
industry may nominate an award of their own design.

WHO: The CDMA Development Group is a nonprofit trade
association formed to foster the worldwide development,
implementation and use of CDMA technologies. The 110
member companies of the CDG include many of the world's
largest wireless operators and equipment manufacturers.
The primary activities of the CDG include development
of cdmaOne(TM) and CDMA2000 features and services,
public relations, education and seminars, regulatory
affairs and international support. Currently, there are
more than 500 individuals working within various CDG
subcommittees on cdmaOne- and CDMA2000-related matters.

HOW TO
NOMINATE: The CDG will begin accepting online nominations during
the week of April 1, 2002 at www.cdg.org. The deadline
for nominations is April 26, 2002
