UbiNetics Takes The Pain Out Of 3G Terminal Testing
28th March 2002

UbiNetics has enhanced the capabilities of its CS100 Node B Emulator product to include a Physical Layer Tester. This will enable 3G terminal developers to get quality products to market faster.

UbiNetics' CS100 Physical Layer Tester enables full testing of layer one or the 'physical layer', via a powerful and flexible user interface. The additional functionality of the CS100 enables developers of 3G terminals to simulate complex test scenarios and verify their designs before testing with live 3G networks.

All 3G terminals must meet rigorous 3GPP standards before being offered commercially. The CS100 enables developers to carry out design verification, conformance, regressions and interoperability testing - ensuring that standards are met at the outset. Used in conjunction with UbiNetics' TM100 3G Test Mobile, the de-facto standard for infrastructure interoperability testing, developers can be confident that their terminals will work with real networks when they are deployed in the field.

"When launching a new technology you need to know that it will deliver to specifications. We give developers the confidence that their creations will not be hindered by interoperability problems when launched," said Bob Thomas, vice president of business development, Americas, at UbiNetics.
