T-Mobile will deploy a Mobile IM service powered by the MessageVine IM Server. The service enables mobile users to share presence information and communicate directly with other users. "We look forward to supporting T-Mobile in deploying the most advanced, useful and entertaining Mobile IM service" said Eli Efrat, MessageVine's CEO. “Messaging is a key part of T-Mobile's data services strategy" said Gerald Blessing, executive director, segment management private customers at T-Mobile. “Introducing Mobile Instant Messaging is therefore a natural step for us.” T-Mobile’s instant messaging service TOM will enable subscribers to manage their friend list, hold conferences, send instant messages, and receive presence information regarding their friends. Users can communicate with friends or join IM session with anonymous users. MessageVine provides carriers and network operators with highly modular and customizable standards-based solutions. MessageVine’s server products integrate with carrier back-end systems such as directories, SMSCs, post-paid and pre-paid billing systems and location servers and are interoperable with web based IM brands such as MSN Messenger, ICQ and Yahoo! Messenger. MessageVine is a member of the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) and its products were successfully tested for compliance with the Wireless Village specification. About MessageVine |
