China : We brought you news of the Nokia N900 previously, which will launch in October.
Amazingly, the clone-company Papayaone have already released their version of the Nokia N900. The company themselves are based in China and have long been releasing Nokia clones.
The photo above shows the N900 clone compared to the real Nokia N900. It’s fairly evident from the picture that the copy lacks the “shine” and sleek curves of the real Nokia N900.
However, that’s only the start of the difference. In terms of specification there is a huge gulf in class between the clone and the premium Nokia N900 handset.
The screen on the clone is vastly inferior; it is only 3 inches and runs at a resolution of 240*300, while the Nokia N900 has a 3.5 inch screen and runs at 800*480.
The camera on the copy is just 0.3MP, which is shocking even for a budget handset these days while the Nokia N900 has a 5MP Carl Zeiss Lens.
The phone is no doubt produced for the Chinese people who can’t afford the real deal and in a nation where not that many people can afford the Nokia N900 it might not be noticed.
It costs around £100 ($130) , which for a phone of this specification is pretty expensive and you can get much better budget phones instead.
