Sony Ericsson Satio Mobile Phone Demonstration
18th September , 2009
UK : Sony Ericsson has been struggling to compete against the feature-packed smart-phones released by other companies, such as the N97, iPhone and HTC Hero.
Historically, Sony Ericsson has had two types of phones those beginning with C for Camera (or Cybershot) and those with W for Walkman. The W or C is then followed by a series of 3 numbers, we feel for consumers these number don’t mean anything and all there phones become “much of a much-ness”.
To fill the gap in their offerings, Sony Ericsson will be releasing the premium phone the Satio.
It should be noted that the usual letter number system described earlier has been dropped suggesting the Sony Ericsson Satio is treated differently inside Sony Ericsson and may well its flagship marketing product.
The follow product demonstration / advert gives you an idea of the angle Sony Ericsson will push with the Sony Ericsson Satio.
The video itself features a “fresh-sounding” hip-hop track and features “cool” young people, who are seemingly young professionals and are constantly smiling.
It seems to stress the Sony Ericsson Satio’s 12MP camera, which is certainly worth promoting!
It also shows off the Sony Ericsson Satio’s 3.5 inch widescreen display, with various colorful presentations, as well as the phone’s accelerometer.
Naturally, the touch-screen the Sony Ericsson Satio has is also demoed on the TV advert.
With Sony Ericsson trying to “freshen” up it’s image and dropping it’s bland letter / number labeling we can see them having increased sucesss with the Sony Ericsson Satio kickstarting the revolution.
