When Will Facebook 3G Mobile Users Reach 100 Million

World : In the last 8 months, mobile social networking website Facebook has increased its user base from 20 million to over 65 million. Just to confirm that these figures apply to Facebook’s mobile website which is used via a mobile phone or similar device via a 3G mobile phone network.
Facebook mobile was originally launched as a straightforward mobile website in English only and offered only the very basic of functions e.g. status and photo functionality.
Today, this has all changed and is multi-language based, added Facebook SMS and offers a full range of applications for virtually all types of mobile devices. Special Facebook applications have also been produced such as :
- Facebook for Blackberry,
- Facebook for iPhone
- Facebook for Android
- Facebook for Nokia.
At present two Facebook mobile websites are available :
m.facebook.com - which works on any mobile internet browser
x.facebook.com - for smartphone / touch screen phones
Looking at the explosive growth in Facebook user numbers in the last eight months from 20 million to 65 million we wonder if Facebook will achieve 100 million mobile users before 2010.
