The Nokia Lumia 930 has been unveiled and it's the Finish companies new flagship smartphone. It was unveiled alongside the more affordable Lumia 630 and both smartphones come pre-loaded with the new Windows Phone 8.1 platform, complete with the new Siri-style voice-assistant Cortana.
The Nokia Lumia 930 has a 5-inch full HD display (1920*1080 pixels) giving it an impressive 441ppi. The display offers a near 180-degree viewing angles and features Nokia's Super Sensitive Touch technology, enabling it to be used even when wearing gloves.
One of the stars of the show is the 20-megapixel PureView camera with optical-image-stabilisation (OIS) and ZEISS optics, which can record full 1080p videos. Sound recording is often lackluster on smartphones, but the Lumia 930 has four high-performance microphones for capturing surround sound audio.
Power and performance is delivered by the 2.2Ghz quad-core Snapdragon processor that is backed up by 2GB of RAM. Onboard memory weighs in at 32GB, unfortunately there is no microSD slot but you do get 7GB of free OneDrive cloud storage.
Nokia's Lumia 930 comes with the same vibrant colour design you've come to expect from Nokia, but everything looks and feels more premium thanks to its aluminium frame and metal accents. When it lands later this year it'll be available in a bright orange, bright green, black and white.
As you'd expect it supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and supports wireless charging (with a 2420mAH battery). The Nokia Lumia 930 will be priced at $599 and will be released across the world in June.
The smartphone isn't only thing that's new because the Lumia 930 comes pre-loaded with the brand-new Windows Phone 8.1 platform. The first big update to Microsoft's platform introduces a new voice-assistant called Cortana, a new Action screen, a refreshed start screen experience and much more.
The Nokia Lumia 930 also comes pre-loaded with Nokia's great suite of applications including Nokia Mix Radio, Nokia HERE Maps and Microsoft Office also comes pre-loaded.
