Motorola Wilder - For The Tough Guy !

Motorola have announced another phone in the mould of the DEFY. The Motorola Wilder is a phone made to endure the rigours of an active and dangerous lifestyle.

The Wilder is effectively a more affordable version of the Motorola DEFY, which will no doubt suit a lot of people who are just using their "tough" phone as a secondary or work mobile.  The Motorola Wilder will be priced at £49.95 and will be available from the Carphone Warehouse in July.

When detailing the specification of a tough-phone it's always best to start at its primary function and the Wilder is both splash and dust resistant, so you don't need to worry about it falling in a puddle or being dropped in sand. This makes it the perfect mobile for working on a construction site, taking to the beach or to a music festival.

The technical specs of the mobile aren't ground breaking, but that's reflected in the price. The Motorola Wilder has a 2.8 inch touch-screen (capacitive), a 2 mega-pixel camera, FM radio , microSD support, Bluetooth and 5MB of onboard memory.

The Motorola Wilder does come with a surprising amount of software including social networking applications (Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and Youtube), embedded games (Tetris , Need for Speed and More) and Opera Mini for internet browsing.

The Motorola Wilder looks to be great value for those looking for a durable phone and we'd expect it to sell in good numbers.
