Sony Ericsson have announced that they are now rolling out Android 2.3.4 to its Xperia Range of smartphones.
The update, which previously rolled out in Scandinavia, will be available for the Xperia™ arc, Xperia™ PLAY, Xperia™ neo, Xperia™ mini, Xperia™ mini pro, Xperia™ pro, Xperia™ ray, Xperia™ active, Xperia™ neo V, Xperia™ arc S and the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman™.
The 2.3.4 update will bring a number of improvements to the listed smartphones with the flagship improvement being support for video chat with Google Talk. However, video calling is only supported on Xperia mobiles with a front-facing camera.
Other new features include screen capture feature, 3D Sweep Panoramic Photo functionality, gesture support for text input and the addition of WiFi DLNA streaming. The Facebook Inside application has also been improved and you can now connect USB peripherals to your Live Dock.
Owners of the Xperia mobiles should look out for the update on their mobiles and as always 3G recommends downloading it over WiFi due to its size.
