The iPhone 14 takes all the great things about the iPhone 13 and improves on them where needed, such as the camera, which can take up to 2.5x better low light photos this year when using the main lens, or up to 2x better ones when using the ultra-wide snapper or the front camera, so your photos will shine even in the dark.

Video recording has seen an upgrade too, with a new Action Mode keeping handheld footage steady, even when you’re racing around.

Battery has also been given a boost since the iPhone 13, with the iPhone 14 offering up to 20 hours of life when watching videos, which is an impressive amount for any phone, especially a relatively small one like this.

And there’s more power here than last year too, with the iPhone 14 using the same chipset as the iPhone 13 Pro. That’s enough to see this race ahead of most Android phones.

Then there’s all the great stuff that the iPhone 14 has inherited from the iPhone 13, like its 6.1-inch 1170 x 2532 Super Retina XDR display, offering superb contrast and colour accuracy.

The iPhone 14 is incredibly durable too, with aerospace-grade aluminium used for the frame, and Ceramic Shield protection on the screen – which is tougher than any Android phone’s glass.

There are impressive new safety features here too, like Crash Detection, which will automatically call the emergency services and emergency contacts if the phone detects that you’ve been in a serious car accident.
