The iPhone 14 Plus is an iPhone 14 for anyone who wants a big screen and a beefy battery. This new model replaces the iPhone 14’s 6.1-inch display with a massive 6.7-inch screen – which at 1284 x 2778 is a match in both size and resolution for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

That huge canvas has also allowed room for a big battery inside, with Apple promising life of up to 26 hours when watching video on the phone. That’s a colossal lifespan, one which has most other phones comfortably beat.

Outside that, the iPhone 14 Plus offers all the same excellent specs and features as the iPhone 14, including an immensely powerful A15 Bionic chipset, up to 512GB of storage, a stylish design, water resistance, and extremely tough screen glass.

It also supports 5G of course, and has exceptional cameras, with Apple offering a 12MP main, 12MP ultra-wide and 12MP selfie camera, all of which are designed to perform better than ever in low light situations, which tend to be the most challenging for smartphone snappers.

Video recording is better than ever too, thanks to a new Action mode which is designed to keep footage smooth and steady, even when you’re moving around quickly while filming.

Plus of course there’s iOS 16, with all the enhancements and apps that comes with, and a new Crash Detection feature, which could literally save lives, as it will detect if you’re in a serious car accident and then automatically call the emergency services and your emergency contacts.
