Overview

The Motorola Edge 70 is Motorola’s answer to the iPhone Air and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, as at just 5.99mm thick, it’s incredibly slim, and it’s cheaper than those phones too.

Despite being super-slim the Motorola Edge 70 is still tough, with Gorilla Glass 7i, an aircraft-grade aluminium frame, and military-grade durability ensuring this isn’t a fragile phone. Coming in at 159g it’s as light as you might expect too, making this a sleek, stylish option.

But of course, a slim phone is still only as good as its specs, and here the Motorola Edge 70 won’t let you down either, with two 50MP cameras on the back and a third on the front, allowing for high-quality photos whether in wide, ultra-wide, of selfie framing.

And it has a large 4,800mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is impressively big for a phone this slim, and offers up to 50 hours of life. It charges fast too, at up to 68W when wired and 15W when wireless.

The Motorola Edge 70 also has 512GB of storage, so there’s masses of space, and with 12GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset there’s plenty of power too, to run games, apps, and AI tasks.

It has a large 6.7-inch 1220 x 2712 OLED screen with 446 pixels per inch, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a high peak brightness of 4,500 nits, so its screen specs can compete with high-end handsets, and you’re getting stereo speakers, so it sounds as good as it looks.

The Motorola Edge 70 also has both IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it’s dust-proof and even more water resistant than the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, as it’s able to withstand not just submersion but also high-pressure water jets.

With loads of AI tools too plus the latest version of Android, the Motorola Edge 70 packs a lot into its slim frame, delivering where it counts on both the hardware and software sides.
