Overview

If you want the best 5G phone around and don’t need a phone that folds, then the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G is the clear choice at the time of writing.

As the name suggests, this is the same brilliant phone as the standard Galaxy Note 10 Plus, just with added 5G, so you can enjoy lightning-fast mobile data.

5G aside, highlights include a huge 6.8-inch curved screen, with a 1440 x 3040 resolution and 498 pixels per inch. So it’s massive and sharp, and it’s also very high quality, using Dynamic AMOLED and with support for HDR10+.

As a flagship, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G is of course tremendously powerful too. It has an octa-core Exynos 9825 chipset (which is the best smartphone chipset Samsung has yet made) and an almost unnecessary 12GB of RAM. It also has more storage than you should ever need, with up to 512GB built in and a microSD card slot.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G additionally has five cameras, with four on the back and one on the front (a 10MP one housed in a tiny punch-hole). The rear snappers include a 12MP lens that can switch between apertures of f/1.5 and f/2.4, a 12MP f/2.1 telephoto lens, and a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, along with a ‘DepthVision’ lens, used for sensing depth, which helps with portrait shots and the like.

The Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G also has a massive 4,300mAh battery which, despite its large size, can be juiced up very quickly. And of course as a Note handset it comes with Samsung’s S Pen stylus, which has been upgraded this year to offer various air gestures, allowing you to control aspects of the phone just by waving the stylus around.

You also get dust and water resistance, and a surprisingly slim build, with the phone looking every bit the flagship it is, thanks to a glass back and a metal frame, along with hardly any bezel.
