The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is one of Samsung’s best mid-range phones, and a great alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S23 if you don’t want to spend a fortune on a phone.

As despite being a lot cheaper than Samsung’s flagship, the Galaxy A54 5G has a similarly good screen in a lot of ways – it’s bigger than the Galaxy S23’s at 6.4 inches, it’s the same resolution at 1080 x 2340, and it has the same 120Hz refresh rate. It’s AMOLED too, and you even get HDR10+ support.

That’s not where the similarities end either, as the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G also has a similar spec 50MP main camera, which is capable of taking great quality photos. The 12MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro cameras are different to what you’ll find on the S23, but they perform well too.

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G even actually has a much bigger battery than the Galaxy S23, at 5,000mAh, and its charging power is just as speedy.

This is no slouch when it comes to raw power either, with Samsung’s own Exynos 1380 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM to deliver speedy results. Speeds are no less impressive when using data either, because of course having 5G in the name this was always going to support 5G.

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G also has water resistance, which not all mid-range phones do, and there’s an under-display fingerprint sensor for security.
