The Xiaomi 12 is the perfect mainstream flagship, offering an incredible assortment of specs at a reasonable price, and in a phone that’s not too small and not too big – it’s just right for most buyers.

The Xiaomi 12 has a 6.28-inch screen, so it’s on the smaller side but still way bigger than the likes of the iPhone 12 Mini, and slightly bigger even than the Samsung Galaxy S22, which is perhaps its main rival.

That display is a 1080 x 2400 one with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, so it’s got all the high-end features you’d expect.

Elsewhere, the Xiaomi 12 has a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide one, and a 5MP telemacro one, which is one of the best macro cameras you’ll find on a phone, so this is the ideal handset for taking photos of tiny details. The other cameras perform just as well too though.

There’s also a 4,500mAh battery with lightning-fast 67W charging (which gets you a full charge in just 39 minutes), along with almost as speedy 50W wireless charging, and of course the Xiaomi 12 is jammed full of power, thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset – which is what you’ll find in most of 2022’s best Android phones.

With plenty of RAM and storage too, plus a compact, curvy, and stylish glass build, the Xiaomi 12 is the whole package, and one of the best Android flagships of early 2022.
