The Xiaomi 13T Pro is a camera-focused smartphone, designed to compete with the imaging skills of phones like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the iPhone 15 Pro, but at a much lower price.

Co-engineered by famed camera brand Leica, the Xiaomi 13T Pro’s cameras include a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera offering 2x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide snapper, plus a 20MP camera on the front.

These cameras are designed to provide exceptional quality, with professional quality lenses that deliver rich colours while avoiding ghosting and glare.

The main lens has a large sensor to maximise the amount of light and detail it can capture, while the 2x zoom lens is superb for portrait shots, and the Xiaomi 13T Pro can also record video in up to 8K quality, and it supports 10-bit Log video. So it’s as good for videographers as photographers.

And while the cameras are the star here, that’s plenty more to like, including an IP68 rating (so it’s dust and water-resistant), a big 6.67-inch 1220 x 2712 AMOLED screen with a high peak brightness of 2,600 nits (which matches the Galaxy S24 line), and a remarkably smooth refresh rate of 144Hz (which has just about everything but gaming phones beat).

The Xiaomi 13T Pro also has a large 5,000mAh battery with extremely fast 120W charging, which is enough to go from zero to 100% in just 19 minutes. Plus it has a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, loads of storage and RAM, and an under-display fingerprint sensor. So even if you don’t care about photography, this is a fast, feature-packed phone that should serve you well.
