The Xiaomi Redmi 12C is an exceedingly affordable phone that manages to perform well in all the most important areas, including its screen, its battery, and its camera.

Starting with that camera, the Xiaomi Redmi 12C has a 50MP one, which is a whole lot of megapixels for a budget smartphone, and allows for sharp, detailed shots. It’s also joined by a depth sensor, to help deliver more pleasing portraits, and it even has a night mode for pleasing low light photos.

You also get a large 6.71-inch screen with the Xiaomi Redmi 12C, which is big enough to immerse you in what you’re doing. Also on the subject of big things, the battery is a hefty 5,000mAh, and comes with the promise of up to 20 hours of video playback on a single charge.

Another highlight is the storage, as there’s a microSD card slot with support for cards of up to 1TB. And the Xiaomi Redmi 12C performs well for its price too, with a fast MediaTek Helio G85 chipset.

The Xiaomi Redmi 12C also has a stylish textured back, both a fingerprint sensor and face unlock, and a 3.5mm headphone port – which is a feature you won’t find on most phones.
