Virgin Media Add Four Android SmartPhones To Their Offering

Virgin Media have announced a number of new smartphones will be arriving on their network. The mobiles that will be added are the LG inTouch Max, Samsung Galaxy Portal, HTC Desire and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.

With Virgin Media now obtaining top Android mobiles on their network they will become a tempting proposition due to the value offered by their network.

The LG inTouch Max is an Android mobile that also supports Wi-Fi and has social network sites and has a 5-line QWERTY keyboard.  It also has a 5 mega-pixel camera, 3.5 mm headphone jack and a 1GB microSD card.The second new mobile to arrive on the platform is the Samsung Galaxy Portal. It has a 3.2 inch touch-screen, 3.2 mega-pixel camera and supports the new “augmented reality” application Layar.

The HTC Desire is the third new mobile and is a real powerhouse of a smartphone. It runs on a 1 Ghz snapdragon mobile processor, which is amongst the most power on mobiles and also has a 3.7 inch touch-screen.

The HTC Desire also has a 5 mega-pixel camera with auto focus and video recording capability. It runs on the latest version of the Android operating system and has built-in support for all the most popular social networks.

The HTC Desire will launch on Virgin Media in April.

The last addition to the Virgin range and arguably the flagship mobile is the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has a 4 inch touch-screen and is powered by the same Snapdragon 1 Ghz processor that powers the HTC Desire. The camera featured on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is an 8 mega-pixel camera and has auto-focus, image stabilization, face recognition and an LED Flash.

It also Timescale , which brings all your interactions with contacts together in one place. So for example, if you text, talk on a social network and call a certain contact they will all be brought together in one place.  Additioanlly, it has support for MediaScape which enables you to get content from a friends phone such as music, photos and videos and display them on your mobile.

All the mobiles will be available to buy from stores in the UK in course.
