Nokia originally launched the Nokia E7 back in September and stated that it would launch in late 2010. The Symbian powered smartphone was then pushed back to a January launch , which has been and gone.
However, the latest information suggests the mobile has been significantly delayed. Expansys have changed the release date of the Nokia E7 on its site to April 12th and Play is reporting it will launch on March 21st.
The delay is bad news for people waiting for the Nokia E7 and for Nokia itself. By the time the mobile hits the market its current high-end specification may look out of date.
Nokia has huge hopes for the Nokia E7, which is being billed as the “new N900”. The reasons for the comparison are obvious because it has a high-end specification and a full QWERTY keyboard. The specification includes a 4 inch touch-screen, 8 mega-pixel camera with LED flash, 16GB of onboard memory , HDMI-port and is powered by Symbian^3.
When the Nokia E7 does launch it will be available from Three.
