The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is the first ever ‘FE’ model in Samsung’s foldable line, and that makes this an exciting handset, as it provides a more affordable option for anyone who wants a foldable phone but doesn’t want to pay an enormously high price.

This undercuts both the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 – the latter of which is especially notable, as this is a very similar phone to the Z Flip 6.

Like that device, it has a 6.7-inch 1080 x 2640 foldable AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, and around 426 pixels per inch. It also has a compact 3.4-inch AMOLED cover screen with a resolution of 720 x 748, and a pixel density of around 306 pixels per inch.

So in other words, you’ll have a big screen for when you want to spend a while looking at your phone, and a smaller display for basic tasks while keeping the handset compact.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE also has a powerful Exynos 2400 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM, so you’re not sacrificing much power to get a foldable phone at a lower price, and just like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 it has a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide one, and a 10MP front-facing camera.

Samsung has also managed to pack in a 4,000mAh battery, and with its IP48 rating the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE can survive being submerged up to 1.5 metres deep in water for up to 30 minutes.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE also comes with Android 16, so its software is up to date, and it will remain that way for a long, long time, as Samsung has promised seven years of operating system and security updates.
