Overview

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G might only have a lower mid-range price, but in many areas its specs are those of a more expensive phone.

That starts with the screen, which being 6.5 inches with a 1080 x 2400 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate is crisp and smooth, and it’s a Super AMOLED display too, offering better contrast than LCD options.

Then there’s its quad-lens camera, which with a 64MP main sensor (with optical image stabilisation), plus a 12MP ultra-wide one, a 5MP macro one and a 5MP depth one gives you loads of photographic options. It can also shoot video in 4K quality, has a capable night mode, and there’s a high-spec 32MP front-facing camera, ideal for selfies and video calls.

Next up, there’s its design, with a stylish all-screen front and an IP67 water and dust resistance rating, meaning it can be submerged up to 1 metre deep in water for up to 30 minutes, so you don’t need to worry about the rain or any spills.

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G also has a powerful Snapdragon 778G chipset, which is one of the better mid-range options, and it’s paired with 6GB of RAM, for impressive performance.

There are stereo speakers too, making this an excellent choice for media, and you get 128GB of storage, a microSD card slot, 5G, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and a 4,500mAh battery, with speedy 25W charging – which is the same speed as you’ll find on the Samsung Galaxy S21 range.
