If you’re a heavy data user then you might be considering an unlimited data plan, but Three has a pair of new SIM Only deals which could be worth considering instead, as they provide almost unlimited data at a lower price.
First up, there’s a 24-month plan which comes with 250GB of monthly data along with unlimited minutes and texts. The standard price for this is £20 per month, but the first six month are half price, so they only cost you £10 per month, which is a remarkably low cost for so much data.

But if you’d prefer a shorter-term plan then you can get the same allowances on a 12-month contract for £20 per month. There’s no half price discount on this plan, but £20 per month is already a great price for that, since it’s the same as the standard 24-month price, and doesn’t tie you in for as long.
Both plans are of course 5G-ready at no extra cost, they both allow you to use your data for tethering, and they both include Go Roam, which lets you roam in Europe and beyond for a small daily charge.
It’s rare to see plans with this much data that aren’t just unlimited. Usually the top option before unlimited is around 100GB, because for most people, once you get much higher than that it basically is unlimited.
The majority of users – even those who use massive quantities of data – would struggle to get through 250GB in a month, so with this option available, unlimited data really isn’t necessary for most people, especially as it costs more.
Of course, there’s the peace of mind that you can never run out with an unlimited data plan, so if you know that you use enormous amounts of data then you might still want to go unlimited – and Three’s pricing on that is very competitive too. But for a lot of people these 250GB plans could be the perfect balance of price and data allowance.
