Huawei stuck with its basic mobile phone ranges for a long time, refusing to enter the smartphone market with other manufacturers such as Apple and Samsung. However, the launch of their smartphone range in 2011 proved it was finally ready to enter the world of 3G connectivity.

Slick design, married with fast 3G internet and excellent social networking features for keeping in touch with friends and family, proved that Huawei wasn’t an old dog unable to learn new tricks. You can also still buy basic non-3G Huawei phones with physical keypads, if smartphones aren’t really your thing.
