a monthThe Honor 70 is a mid-range phone that looks and performs like a high-end one, especially when it comes to the screen and the camera.
For the former, you’re getting a big 6.67-inch 1080 x 2400 OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Those specs are comparable to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus, except here the screen is curved, making it all the more eye-catching.
The rest of the design is eye-catching too, with a slim build, a shiny back, tiny bezels, and two big camera blocks rising out of the rear.
These cameras look like they should perform well, and they do. They include a 54MP main snapper, a 50MP ultra-wide one, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 32MP front-facing camera. All impress, but the main sensor is the real star, as it’s a large sensor that lets in a lot of light, so photos come out well even in darker environments.
The 50MP ultra-wide meanwhile can also be used for macro shots, so this is a versatile setup, and if you prefer video there’s handy modes like Solo Cut, which can keep footage focused on a specific person, even when they move around.
The Honor 70 has no shortage of power either, with a snappy Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset and 8GB of RAM, plus 5G. And the battery also impresses – this has a 4,800mAh juice pack which delivers lengthy life and charges at a rapid 66W.
