The iPhone 7 is one of the best and most exciting phones ever made, so there’s every chance you’re planning to buy one.
But just as important as your choice of phone is your choice of network, as this affects your data speeds and coverage, your monthly contract costs and what extras you have access to.
With that in mind we’ve come up with a list of seven reasons why Three is the best network for the iPhone 7.
This is one of the single biggest benefits of Three and is a huge bonus whatever handset you use. Three’s Feel At Home service allows for free roaming in 42 international destinations, including much of Europe, plus places further afield, like the US, Australia and Hong Kong.
While some other networks have affordable roaming plans of their own, most aren’t free and those which are don’t have as wide a selection of locations available as Three.
If you travel much, whether for business or pleasure, Feel At Home could save you a huge amount of money, while allowing you to keep making the most of your iPhone 7.
Who better to know the best network for iPhone than actual iPhone users? And they’re consistently rating Three as the best network for mobile internet, most recently in a March 2016 YouGov survey.
Three was judged best-in-class in all ten mobile internet categories, which is a remarkable performance and shows you’re in safe hands if you opt to buy an iPhone 7 on the network.
Three was found to be particularly strong for download speeds, network coverage for data and reliability during the day for data.
Three is the only major UK network with truly unlimited data, meaning you can browse, stream and download as much as you want, and with an iPhone 7 you’re sure to want to do that a lot, thanks to the large number of high quality apps available and a brilliant screen that you’ll love viewing things on.
With its larger display the iPhone 7 Plus is even better for streaming movies and these can eat up a lot of data, so being able to get an unlimited quantity on Three means you won’t have to keep tabs on your use. Find out more about unlimited data plans here.
Not only does Three offer unlimited data, but right now you can also get huge data allowances for not much outlay. The network currently has an offer giving buyers 4GB for the price of 1GB, which with a 32GB iPhone 7 will cost you £37 per month and includes unlimited minutes and texts.
If that’s not enough data for you the network is also offering 30GB for the price of 8GB, which on the same iPhone example would cost you just £44 per month – again with unlimited minutes and texts.
Three has launched a new service called Three Flexible Finance, designed to help you spread the cost of a new iPhone.
The network offers interest free credit for the iPhone 7 over 12 or 24 months, with no upfront cost, so the payments are affordable.
Alternatively, there’s even a 36-month option – this isn’t interest free, but having 36 months to pay off a phone is a real rarity under any terms.
Voice over LTE or VoLTE refers to making calls over 4G, and right now Three is the only UK network which allows for that, via its 4G Super-Voice service.
This has a variety of benefits to iPhone 7 users, including saving your battery life as your phone won’t need to switch between signals as you come on and off calls and, most significantly, plugging black spots, as the low frequency 4G signals Three uses for it can travel much further into buildings, so you can call, text and browse in places that don’t get a signal on other networks.
Currently Three has over 65% UK population coverage with 4G Super-Voice and that figure is set to grow.
Above and beyond the current deals offered by the network, Three is known for its good value plans and recently that’s become even more the case, as the network split its tariffs between Advanced Plans and Essential Plans.
Advanced Plans offer the full range of Three extras, such as Feel At Home and tethering, while Essential Plans are focused just on the basic allowances, but come in cheaper as a result. That means you can tailor your iPhone 7 plan to suit your usage habits and not end up paying for extras that you don’t plan to use.
