The Samsung Galaxy S22 is a compact flagship that packs a punch. With top-end performance, great cameras and an excellent screen, this is an all-round excellent phone.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 is Samsung’s main flagship phone for 2022, and it’s as packed full of features and power as you’d expect such a handset to be.
That starts with its chipset, which is a top-end Exynos 2200 one, which makes this more powerful than any 2021 Android phone. With 8GB of RAM multitasking is a breeze, while with 5G support your data speeds won’t slow you down.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 also has a superb screen. It’s a 6.1-inch 1080 x 2340 one with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It’s sharp, vibrant, and can get incredibly bright. That size also makes it quite compact, which is something that extends to the whole design of the Samsung Galaxy S22. This phone is small, slim and light, despite a premium build.
It’s protected front and back by super-strong Gorilla Glass Victus+, and it also has IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, so the Samsung Galaxy S22 isn’t as fragile as it might look.
The camera is another highlight – this phone has a triple-lens rear camera with a powerful 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide one and a 10MP telephoto one, offering 3x optical zoom. It’s an accomplished setup, and Samsung’s top phones consistently have some of the best cameras you can get on a smartphone, with the S22’s even performing well at night.
Elsewhere you get fast 25W charging, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, a hefty helping of storage, up to date Android 12 software (with a promise of four years of Android updates), and an in-screen fingerprint scanner, combining to make this the perfect compact flagship.
