a monthThe Samsung Galaxy A33 straddles the line between mid-range and budget, coming in at an affordable price tag but above the likes of the Samsung Galaxy A13.
But this is also a much more accomplished phone than the Galaxy A13 – or than most other cheap handsets.
It has a 6.4-inch 1080 x 2400 AMOLED display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, so you’re getting a high-resolution, high-end AMOLED tech, and silky-smooth interactions. It’s a bright, vibrant display that really makes images pop.
The Samsung Galaxy A33 also has a quad-lens camera, including a 48MP f/1.8 main sensor, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide one (with a 123-degree field of view), a 5MP f/2.4 macro one for close-ups, and a 2MP depth sensor. So that’s a solid selection of cameras, and you also get a 13MP one on the front for selfie duties.
The Galaxy A33 is built to last too, with IP67 dust and water resistance (so it can be submerged up to 1 metre deep for up to 30 minutes), and tough Gorilla Glass 5 on its screen.
And there’s plenty more to like about this phone as well. It supports 5G for one, and has a big 5,000mAh battery with speedy 25W charging. There’s also an under-display fingerprint scanner, which not so long ago was a feature reserved for high-end phones.
And with an Exynos 1280 chipset and 6GB of RAM there’s a respectable amount of power too. You shouldn’t run out of space either, with a generous 128GB built in, plus a microSD card slot for expansion.
