The HTC One X has been reported by a number of users as suffering from a problem caused by the way you hold the smartphone.
The issue seems quite similar to the problem Apple saw when they launched the iPhone 4 which saw the mobile losing signal if it was held in a certain way. Apple later claimed the problem wasn't caused by a software bug and we wonder whether HTC's problem could end the same way.
According to owners of the HTC One X the mobile is having trouble connecting to WiFi networks and is suffering from lag in games when held in a certain way. Apparently, you can also hold the smartphone in another way to get a boost in signal , but this isn't a viable solution to the problem.
HTC have acknowledged that the problem exists and are reporting all users to post a description of the problem on the XDA forums . Currently, HTC's support team have struggled to replicate the issue so its possible it only affects a small batch of the mobiles.
We didn't see any such problems in our review of the HTC One X , but we'll keep you posted on any developments in the situation.
