Apple have yet to confirm the existence of the iPad Mini , but fresh rumours suggest they'll unveil the tablet on October 23rd.
According to sources speaking to AllThingsD Apple will hold a press event next Tuesday where they'll unveil the new tablet. We're not sure where the event will take place, but it's thought to be an invitation only affair.
In related news German site MobileGeeks have posted a screenshot leaking the prices of the iPad Mini.
The image shows a retailers inventory and reveals that the WiFi-only iPad Mini 8GB will be priced at just 250 Euros , which is equivalent to £200. That is above the price of Google's Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle Fire, although it's close enough to be a true rival to both devices.
The 3G and WiFi 8GB iPad Mini is priced at 350 Euros (£300), while the 16GB model costs 349 Euros and 449 Euros for the WiFi and 3G model respectively. You can then add another 100 Euros for the 32GB models and a further 100 Euros for the 64GB iPad Mini, which means that the top 64GB 3G iPad Mini costs a whopping 649 Euros (£520).
One thing that you should bear in mind is that we've translated the prices based solely on the exchange rate. However, it doesn't always work like this and the UK iPad Mini prices could prove significantly higher.
Assuming this leak is genuine we can put to bed any hopes we had of the iPad Mini supporting 4G LTE. We always had our doubts that it would support the new wireless technology because the chips necessary are notoriously expensive.
