About Samsung

Samsung is one of the biggest names in both smartphones and tablets, and if you want an Android slate then this is likely the first company you’ll look to, as it builds a wide range of high-quality, big-name options.

These include high-end, mid-range and budget slates, so just about every segment of the market is covered, and Samsung’s tablets particularly excel for their screens, which at the high-end arguably have even the best iPads beat.

Why choose Three for your Samsung tablet?

Three is a top choice for any tablet if you want mobile data, as the network offers 5G as standard on all of its plans, so you won’t have to pay any extra to get the highest speeds. Three also offers plans with unlimited data, and it has comprehensive 4G coverage and widespread 5G coverage, so you’ll be able to get online just about anywhere.

Three also offers additional perks such as low-cost roaming in Europe and beyond, and access to the Three+ app, which houses exclusive discounts and offers from other brands.

Which Samsung tablets support 5G?

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G, Galaxy Tab S7, and Galaxy Tab S7 Plus all support 5G.

Which Samsung tablet should I choose?

Which Samsung tablet you should choose depends on what you want from your slate. Do you want something big or small? Something high-end or cheap?

The best Samsung tablet overall though is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, so that’s likely the one to pick if money is no object. If you’re shopping on more of a budget though then consider the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 or the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8.

Top Samsung tablet

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the top Samsung tablet. This has a massive 14.6-inch 1848 x 2960 Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, plus a top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, masses of RAM, 5G, a dual-lens 12MP camera, and an enormous 11,200mAh battery.

It also comes with a stylus included, so it’s ideal for sketching and note-taking, and you can optionally get a keyboard case for it to transform this into a real laptop-alternative.

Most affordable Samsung tablet

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is the cheapest Samsung tablet available on Three at the time of writing. This has an 8.7-inch 800 x 1340 screen, a compact build so it’s convenient to carry, slim bezels giving it a surprisingly premium appearance, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, so you can get immersed in your media.

Top value Samsung tablet

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus is arguably the top value Samsung tablet, as it combines the bulk of the great Tab S8 Ultra’s features with a lower price.

This isn’t a cheap slate, but you get an awful lot for your money, including a 12.4-inch 1752 x 2800 Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 5G support, a big 10,090mAh battery, a dual-lens camera, and plenty of RAM and storage. Plus Samsung throws in an S Pen stylus, making it even better value.

Latest Samsung tablets

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus are among the latest Samsung tablets at the time of writing, both having launched in April of 2022.

These are both premium tablets, designed as Android alternatives to the iPad Pro range – but in the case of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra you get an even bigger screen, and arguably a higher quality one.

Both tablets also have a top end chipset and come with an S Pen stylus included for free, so they’re great for productivity, games, movies, and anything else you might want to use a tablet for.

Samsung in summary

Samsung has perfected the Android tablet, delivering slates with fantastic screens, support for styluses and keyboards, plenty of power, and sleek, stylish designs. All that and they tend to have excellent battery life too.

Of course, that comes at a cost, but if you’re on a budget then you can also get more affordable Samsung tablets, and these still tend to offer competitive features for what they cost. All in all it’s no wonder Samsung is such a major player in the tablet space.
