Overview

The Samsung Galaxy A70 is an upper mid-range phone but one with specs and features that many flagships don’t even have, the highlight arguably being its huge 6.7-inch screen with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

That means you can just place your finger on the display to unlock it, and – along with the tiny notch at the top - ensures bezels are kept to a minimum, so there’s nothing to distract from that big, 1080 x 2400 Super AMOLED display.

The Samsung Galaxy A70 also offers an impressive camera setup, with a triple-lens snapper on the back. There’s a 32MP f/1.7 main lens, an 8MP f.2.2 ultra-wide one and a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor. Combined, they help you capture almost any kind of shot, helped by a Scene Optimiser which uses AI to tweak images based on what they’re of.

There’s also a top-flight 32MP camera on the front, boosted by adjustable depth of field for portrait shots, and also offering AR emoji.

This is a phone that just keeps on going too, thanks to a massive 4,500mAh battery, one which offers 25W fast charging, helping it power back up far faster than most handsets. And speaking of power, this has an octa-core chipset clocked at up to 2GHz, upwards of 6GB of RAM, and masses of storage.

So if you want a big phone at a not overly big price, the Samsung Galaxy A70 is a brilliant choice.
