Overview

The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is the larger sibling of the Samsung Galaxy S9, with a massive 6.2-inch screen, so it’s the ideal size for movies and other media, and at 1440 x 2960 it’s a very sharp 529 pixels per inch. It’s also curved and has a super widescreen 18.5:9 aspect ratio, with almost no bezels. And as it’s a Super AMOLED screen it also offers vibrant colours and great contrast.

But you get more of lots of things beyond just the screen, as there’s a massive 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, neither of which is offered by the standard model, plus a huge 3,500mAh battery.

And the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus also has an extra camera lens, as there’s a pair of 12MP ones on the back. One of these is the same innovative lens as the standard S9 has – able to automatically adjust between an f/2.4 and an f/1.5 aperture depending on the lighting, while the other lens is fixed at f/2.4.

You can also record slow motion video at an almost unprecedented 960fps, and there’s 4K quality recording too, plus an 8MP camera on the front, capable of turning your likeness into an animated emoji that you can share across chat apps.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus also has a super-powered octa-core Exynos 9810 chipset to go alongside that hefty 6GB of RAM, and there’s a microSD card slot in case you somehow manage to fill up the 128GB of internal storage.

Stereo speakers tuned by AKG meanwhile ensure the audio is as great as the visuals, and with a fingerprint scanner, iris scanner, heart rate monitor, fast charging and wireless charging the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus has all the extras.

Did we mention it looks great too? That curved screen is joined by a glass back and a metal frame giving it high-end appeal, while IP68 certification means it can survive a spill or a splash.
